Techno Source An Electronic Toy Producer Developed A High End Version Of Classic Rubik’s Cube
Techno Source, a TV Game and handheld electronic game markets producer. The Hong Kong based company, which also have New York City based representation. It’s a privately owned company founded by Wayne Nathan and Rich Migatz – two toy industry veterans in 2000.
Techno Source have produced a number of awards winning electronic game products, which includes: Sesame Street, Activision, Crayola, Coleco, Intellivision, Sudoku, and Rubik’s Touch Cube. Intellivision was one of Techno Source flagship product, and made the company as the pioneers of the ‘retro gaming’ market, creating TV Game systems that plug directly into your TV. In a partnership with Crayola in 2003 they produced awards winning electronic handheld games and plug-and-play units, including: My First TV Play Systems and My First Electronic Coloring Book and the Dr. Toy Smart Play Smart Toy. The company made a collaboration with a company called Coleco in 2005 to produce a two players game of basketball, baseball, soccer, and football that can be played simultaneously. Techno Source made an agrrement with Sesame Street in 2005 to produce a line of handheld electronic and TV games that entertain and educate at the same time. Techno Source also has benefited from the recent success of its handheld Touch Screen Sudoku. Techno Source signed an agreement with Activision Inc on 2006 to produce Activision game. On 2009, Techno Source introduced Rubik’s Touch Cube, a partnership with Rubik’s to create a line of electronic games to complement the original Rubik’s Cube.
This electronic version of TouchCube don’t have moving parts as the classic one, the pieces are now a touch sensitive and interactive pieces that emit lights. This puzzle game toy allows the users to swipe their fingers over the squares to mimic turning the section, and the toy also has a built-in accelerometer to detect which side is facing up.
